No one wants to watch their relationship fall apart. If they did not want it to last, they wouldn't have gotten married in the first place, correct? Well, sometimes things just happen that we just can't gain control of and one of them are affairs. Affairs happen to people you would never expect to cheat. We all know this, so when we see suspicious actions from our partner, it can really make us wonder what in the world is going on, what are they hiding? That thought alone if prolonged can cause serious damage to your self esteem and general personal well being. They can make you think you are going crazy, especially when the person you love swears that you are wrong and plays on your love and trust.
I have been there and done that. There is no proof other than circumstantial but you know, know, in your heart that something is not as it should be. You pace, you cry, you become angry and maybe even go as far as depression. I have learned in my old age that not knowing can hurt you. I scoff at that wasted statement "what you don't know can't hurt you. It can and it will.
